Formats and Software

When you order a transcription at Custom Music Transcription you will receive a printable PDF of the transcription as well as the original file it was typeset in. More specifically:

1. All guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, and most stringed instruments we do in Guitar-Pro. We can export back to Guitar-Pro 5 easily. Guitar Pro formats open with any of Arobas Music’s software as well as their apps for iphone, ipad, android and blackberry systems. You can always ask us about other formats but Guitar-Pro is our first choice for guitar as it is quick to use and looks great.

2. All other instruments and combinations of instruments such as piano and wind, brass instruments and others, we do in Sibelius or Finale.

3. We have started using the free music software musescore as well. They have free versions for Mac, Windows and Linux based platforms. They also have an app for android devices and are working on iphone and ipad versions as well. Custom Music Transcription has started uploading some of its complimentary scores to https://www.musescore.com.
